With their win over Leeds, Arsenal closed the distance on third-placed Chelsea. After Wolves lost, the Gunners are currently only a point behind us in fourth place. Tottenham, the other top four contenders, earned a creditable draw at Anfield on Saturday night, keeping the gap between us and them at five points.

The game between Tottenham and Arsenal takes place on Thursday, the day after we flew to Leeds. If we win at Elland Road and Tottenham lose to Arsenal, we will finish in the top four. Due to our considerably superior goal difference, the same can most likely be said if we draw at Leeds and Arsenal win.
If we lose at Leeds and Tottenham win, we may be in fifth place by the time we return to the Premier League, with the two north London clubs playing ahead of us. Our fate, however, would remain in our hands.
