The Inaugural SA20 begins in 2023, one of the newest franchise leagues across the globe. The competition is organized by Cricket South Africa and has attracted some of the best T20 players in the world.

Here's a look at who you can expect to see in action next year in the South Africa-based T20 league.

Joseph Butler

England captain Jos Buttler is one of the best T20 batsmen in the sport. He showed that at the ICC T20 World Cup in Australiaparticularly in their semi-final success against India, as he scored an unbeaten 80 to lead his side to the final.

Buttler has been signed to play for the Paarl Royals. As of December 22, they are the 3,5 co-favorites in the bet with Betway to lift the trophy at the end of the opening season.

Dewald Brevis

South African Dewald Brevis is considered one of cricket's future stars. It was a breakthrough year for the hard-hitting drummer. He scored 162 in a domestic T20 game, the highest score of any player in that game format in South Africa.

Brevis will play for MI Cape Town during SA20. He has been compared to South African legend AB de Villiers, due to his batting style. The Mumbai Indians and St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots player will be keen to use the platform to show the world what he can do at the highest level.

Kyle Mayer

Batsman Kyle Mayers plays for West Indies in all three formats in the game. He scored two ODI centuries in 2022. The first came against the Netherlands when he scored 120 in the final game of their series. He then hit 105 against New Zealand, as shown on the Reuters match scoreboard.

Mayers has been signed by the Durban Super Giants in the franchise's new cricket league. He will play alongside international teammates Jason Holder and Johnson Charles in a strong squad that will be coached by Lance Klusener.
