The end of the Gallagher Premiership is fast approaching and the final is just weeks away. After 26 weeks of exceptional English rugby, the winner of the 2021/22 Premiership Rugby season will be crowned on June 18, 2022.

Thirteen teams for the 2021/22 season
The 2021/22 Premiership Rugby season began with the opening match on September 17, 2021. This year's competition saw two changes: the number of teams and the number of rounds. For the first time since the 1992/93 season, 13 teams took part in the competition. To accommodate the 13 teams, the Premiership was held over 26 rounds, with 12 teams playing each week.

The best try scorers
We've seen some impressive tries in the 2021/21 Premiership Rugby season with Saracens' Max Malins and Newcastle Falcons' George McGuigan topping the table. As of May 24, 2022, both players have scored an impressive 15 tries. While in third place, Agustin Creevy scored 14 tries for the London Irish, as did Harlequins' Cadan Murley.
The reigning champions
After last year's sensational victory, Harlequins ably defended their title. As of this writing on May 24, 2022, Harlequins have played 23 innings, winning 15 and losing 8. This includes their stunning eight-try, 52-24 victory over Bristol in round 4, as well as their 41-27 win against Northamptonwith Alex Dombrandt scoring a hat-trick in round 12.

However, as things stand, it is Leicester Tigers who are leading the way to victory, having played 23 games and won 19 games. Saracens are second, winning 17 of their 23 games so far, with Harlequins sitting third.

According to Betfair, Harlequins have stiff competition. As of May 24, 2022, Saracens are the bookmaker's current favorites with even odds. Harlequins are currently in third place, with odds of 9/2.
